What's included in every lesson
- All materials. I create and adapt them myself, and draw on quality resources from trusted sources where they help. Nothing is billed separately.
- Homework, and a full review of it. The assignment after each lesson, and the next lesson begins by going through it and clearing up whatever wasn't clear.
- A plan adapted to you. Your level, your goals and your reasons set the syllabus — not a fixed chapter order.

Thirty minutes, online, at no cost and with no obligation. We establish your level, talk through what you want from the language, and you decide afterwards. I would rather you find out in half an hour that we are not a fit than three paid lessons in.
Practical questions
How often should I have lessons?
Twice a week is the sweet spot for most people. Short and frequent beats long and rare — consistency is what makes vocabulary stick, and a single weekly marathon mostly produces fatigue.
How do lessons take place?
Online, one-to-one, over video. Materials are shared on screen and sent to you afterwards so you have everything in one place.
What if I need to cancel?
Let me know in reasonable time and we move the lesson rather than lose it. I ask for the same courtesy in return.
Do you teach children?
Yes — from around age seven, with a different pace and a lot more play. Bilingual families are a large part of my students.
What is and isn't included.
Created and adapted by me, sent to you after each lesson. Never billed separately, at any level.
The assignment, and the time spent going through it next lesson. That review is part of the hour, not an extra.
Built around your level and your goal. For exam students, written out against the date.
Paid by you directly to the examining body. I prepare you for the exam; I do not administer it.
Packages are paid in advance and valid for four months, which is generous enough to absorb a holiday or a busy month at work, and short enough that lessons do not drift into never happening. Single lessons are paid as you go, with no commitment beyond the one you have booked.
The practical arrangements.
How do I pay?
We agree the method when you book — bank transfer is the usual arrangement for both Greece and Serbia. Packages are settled before the first lesson of the block; single lessons before or immediately after the lesson itself.
What if I need to cancel or move a lesson?
Let me know in reasonable time and we move it rather than lose it. I ask for the same courtesy in return: if I ever have to move a lesson, you get the time back.
Lessons cancelled at the last minute, repeatedly, are the one thing that makes a schedule impossible to hold for anyone. In practice this has rarely been a problem.
Can I pause a package?
Within the four months, yes — life happens, and a fortnight's gap is not a crisis. Tell me in advance where you can.
Do you offer a discount for two people learning together?
Ask me. Two people at genuinely the same level, learning for the same reason — a couple preparing to move, for instance — can work well in one lesson. Two people at different levels cannot, and I would rather tell you that than take the booking.
